Manal was so excited to catch this fish on her first fly fishing trip, as you can plainly see! She hung in there until the very end. Her perserverance was rewarded with this rainbow trout.

This bird is watching us!
This is one of the twelve resident bald eagles on my favorite stretch of the Yellowstone. This guy watched us fish almost every day, giving us the old stink-eye every time we caught one of his (her?) fish. Right now, baetis are hatching on the Stone. You will also see some October caddis around. Fish are in the bank water, sipping drys and nymphs. A size 16 pheasant tail is killin’ it.
