Stillwater River Report

Great spring fishing on the Stillwater yesterday. Started the day nymphing. Caught several nice pre-spawn rainbows right away. A hare’s ear with a pheasant tail trailing it was money. Nymph fishing was hot until about 2pm when the bugs started coming off. March Browns, Blue Winged Olives, a couple of caddis and some little black stone flies all hatched from 2 to about 4pm. Not a huge hatch, but enough to get some fish feeding on the top. Caught a few more nice rainbows on an olive parachute.
