January Fishing Report

The Shoshone in Cody is fishing well on streamers. No real hatches to speak of yet. There were a couple of midges around last Tuesday, but no baetis. A couple of small fish ate a midge larva dropped from a parachute. Several nice fish ate a white zonker stripped. Caught a couple of fish swinging a black bugger slow in the current lines. Be prepared for the wind!

The Big Horn is fishing well on streamers, I’m told. The Stillwater, Yellowstone, Clark’s Fork and other area streams are in full winter mode. Some fish are taking a nymph, but that is all.
